“The ezon team, Owain & Monzen, helped us arrange one of our best trips ever – from advice on where to stay in Tokyo on the way over to arranging great accommodation in Niseko. Owain’s local riding knowledge ensured we found the best spots each day, and got to discover areas we might not have found – from epic days hiking into the backcountry to night sessions in the trees of Niseko. They also ensured we experienced the best of real local Japanese culture, from amazing food to the daily ‘onsen’ sessions after riding. Can’t recommend them enough, and will be back in january 2012!”

“These are the facts about Japan. Incredible snowfall and snow quality coupled with amazing terrain make the mountains some of the best riding you will ever experience. Then you have the unique flavour of Japanese culture, incredible food, beautiful volcanic hot pools and genuine hospitality.
Owain at ezonsnow knows Hokkaido inside out and showed us around in 08, to this day it is my favourite trip with the BBC. Easily one of the world’s best mountains.”
Ed Leigh, BBC Ski Sunday
Nothing beats having a local guide in Japan, and I couldn’t have hoped to get a better, more informed, and fun person to smooth over the inevitable faux pas and quirks of travelling and riding in Japan than Owain from ezonsnow.

‘I can’t say enough good things about Owain and Monz’ hospitality and knowledge of Niseko and surrounding areas. I feel I absolutely got the most of my first 2 weeks in Japan because of them. We rode the best spots and scored some incredible powder, ate some great Japanese food at some of Nisekos best spots, and bathed in incredible Onsens with lovely Japanese beer! It was a trip rich in experience that I’ll always remember and I’ll most definitely repeat’.

‘Spent 2 weeks in Niseko, feb 2010 then again in 2011, and was blown away by how welcoming he and his wife Monz were. I have never experienced hospitality like it before.
Had an awesome time shredding the pow – and being taken to some of his secret stash spots. The back country guiding was super professional – hitting up some of the famous Japanese pillow lines, and getting some stunning views along the way. I couldn’t recommend Owain enough – he’s an absolute champion!
I’ll be coming back year after year!’
